Online Booking

Your online booking page lets customers book appointments directly — no phone calls or back-and-forth. Choose a service, pick a staff member (if applicable), select a date and time, and confirm. It's fast, simple, and available 24/7.

What is online booking

Online booking is a public-facing page hosted at book.1nbox.au. Customers visit your unique URL, browse your services, pick an available slot, and complete the booking. They receive a confirmation email and can manage their booking (reschedule or cancel) via a link in that email.

Premium feature

Online booking is available on Premium plans. Free tier accounts cannot enable the booking page.

Enabling your booking page

Go to BusinessBookings and turn on Enable booking page. Once enabled, your page is live and customers can book. Make sure you have at least one active service and at least one staff member with availability.

Your booking URL

Every account gets a unique booking ID. Your default URL looks like:

https://book.1nbox.au/a7kx9m2p

Share this link on your website, social media, or in emails. Customers can bookmark it or use it directly.

Custom URL

Premium accounts can set a custom vanity slug (e.g. joes-barbershop). Your URL becomes:

https://book.1nbox.au/joes-barbershop

Custom slugs must be 3–30 characters, lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens only. Both URLs work — the default ID and the custom slug point to the same booking page.

The customer booking flow

When a customer visits your booking page:

  1. Choose service: Browse services by category. Select one or more.
  2. Choose staff: If the service is offered by multiple staff, pick a preferred staff member or leave as "Any available".
  3. Pick date and time: Select a date and choose from available slots. Slots respect your business hours, staff schedules, breaks, and closures.
  4. Enter details: First name, last name, email, and phone. Add any notes or special requests.
  5. Confirm: Review and confirm. A confirmation email is sent.

Confirmation and notifications

After a booking is made, the customer receives a confirmation email with the appointment details. You can also receive reminders (email and SMS, depending on your plan) before the appointment. Staff can be notified of new bookings via email.

Customer self-service

Each confirmation email includes a link to manage the booking. Customers can:

No account required — the link works for 7 days after the appointment date. This reduces no-shows and gives customers control.
