Business

The Business page is the heart of your account. Here you configure your business profile, operating hours, booking rules, and preferences. Owners have full edit access; staff can view most settings in read-only mode.

Auto-save

Most fields save automatically when you move to the next field. No save button required.

Business information

Your business information appears on your booking page, in confirmations, and across the app. Keep it accurate so customers can find and recognise your business.

Field Description
Business name Your store or company name. Required, 2–100 characters.
Business type Select from Salon, Spa, Barbershop, Gym, and other predefined types.
Description A short description of your business. Shown on the booking page.

Upload your business logo to personalise your booking page and confirmations. Recommended size is 400×400px, max 5MB. Supported formats include JPG and PNG. Owners can upload and remove the logo; staff cannot.

Contact details

These details are used for customer communication and may appear on your booking page.

Field Description
Phone Primary contact phone number, including country code.
Website Your business website URL.
Account email Your account email. Read-only; managed via account settings.
Contact email Email used for customer contact and engagement. Can differ from account email.
Preferred contact method Choose Email, Phone, or Both for how customers should reach you.

Operating hours

Set the days and times your business is open. For each day, define a start and end time. You can add break periods (e.g. lunch) to block out availability. Staff schedules operate within these business hours — a slot is only available when both the business and the assigned staff member are available.

Booking settings

Control how far ahead customers can book, how much notice you need, and your cancellation window.

Setting Description
Time slot interval How often booking slots appear (e.g. every 15, 30, or 60 minutes).
Maximum advance booking How far ahead customers can book (e.g. 1 week, 3 months, 1 year).
Minimum advance booking Minimum notice required (e.g. 2 hours, 1 day).
Cancellation window How many hours before an appointment cancellations are allowed without penalty.

Cancellation policy

Add a text description of your cancellation rules. This can be shown to customers when they book and in confirmation emails.

Preferences

Set your business timezone and default currency. These affect how dates, times, and prices are displayed across the app.

Online booking page

Enable your public booking page so customers can book directly online. This is a Premium feature. When enabled, you get a unique booking URL (e.g. book.1nbox.au/your-id). Premium accounts can optionally set a custom vanity slug (e.g. book.1nbox.au/joes-barbershop). You can copy or share your booking link from the Business page.

Premium feature

Online booking is available on Premium plans. Free tier accounts cannot enable the booking page.

Closures

Closures are business-wide periods when you're closed — public holidays, annual shutdowns, maintenance, or special events. They override operating hours and affect all staff availability. Add a closure with a name, type, date range, and optional reason.

Closure type Use case
Public holiday Government-recognised holidays.
Annual closure Regular shutdowns (e.g. summer break).
Maintenance Building or equipment maintenance.
Special event Private events, staff training.
Emergency Unexpected closures.

Closures can be full-day or partial-day. For partial closures, specify the start and end time of the closed period.

Managing closure conflicts

If you add a closure that overlaps with existing appointments, the conflict is flagged. You must contact affected customers and resolve each conflict (reschedule or cancel) before the closure date. The conflict view shows customer details, appointment, and service so you can reach out and resolve.
