Emails

1nbox sends automated emails to customers and staff. This page lists each email type with when it's sent, who receives it, and a preview. Click a preview button to see how the email looks — only one preview at a time.

Customer emails

Booking Confirmation

Sent to customers immediately after an appointment is created — whether from online booking, staff entry, or walk-in. Confirms the service, date, time, provider, and price. If the business has an address, contact details, or a management link, those sections are included.

Recipients: The customer's email address.

Subject: Booking Confirmed: [service name] at [business name]

Appointment Reminder

Sent to customers 24 hours before their appointment. A one-time schedule is created when an appointment is booked, set for 24 hours before the appointment start time.

Recipients: The customer's email address.

Subject: Reminder: [service name] tomorrow at [business name]

Booking Cancellation

Sent to customers when an appointment is cancelled. Confirms the cancellation and shows the cancelled appointment details. If a cancellation reason was provided, it is included. Contact details are shown so the customer can rebook if they wish.

Recipients: The customer's email address.

Subject: Booking Cancelled: [service name] at [business name]

Booking Rescheduled

Sent to customers when an appointment is moved to a new date or time. Shows the new appointment details prominently, with the previous appointment struck through for reference.

Follow-up / Review Request

Sent to customers about 1 hour after their appointment time. Thanks them and invites them to rate their experience using a 1–5 star link. Only sent if the business has review requests enabled in their settings.

Staff and internal emails

Staff Invitation

Sent when a business owner invites a team member to join their business on 1nbox. The recipient receives an email with a short explanation of 1nbox. The "Accept Invitation" button links to the join flow. Invitations expire in 7 days.

Recipients: The email address entered by the owner when inviting the staff member.

Subject: You've been invited to join [business name] on 1nbox

Staff Notifications

Sent to the assigned staff member when an appointment is booked, cancelled, or rescheduled. Only staff members whose profile has Email booking notifications enabled receive these emails. They include customer details, appointment details, and for reschedules, a change summary.

Recipients: The staff member assigned to the appointment (must have email notifications enabled).
